Maryland SHIP/SMP

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP)

The Maryland SHIP/SMP programs provide free, local, and confidential counseling services for Medicare Beneficiaries, who are older adults and/or individuals with disabilities. Our trained staff provides education and community outreach activities to protect, detect, and report Medicare fraud.

Both programs fall under the federal guidance of Administration for Community Living (ACL).
