Meals on Wheels is a national nonprofit that delivers home-cooked, nutritionally balanced meals to eligible seniors aged 60 and older who are homebound. These are seniors who face hunger, isolation, and other challenges that impact their health and well-being. The program also supplies meals to individuals with disabilities who cannot prepare or obtain proper nutrition on their own.
In addition to delivering nutritious meals, volunteers frequently provide much-needed human connection, a smile, and safety checks.
Meals may be free, have a suggested donation, or be paid for on a sliding scale, based on your location, income, and need.
