Senior Call Check

The Maryland Department of Aging is encouraging all MD residents 65+ to use the free Senior Call Check program as a wellness check during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Senior Call Check participant you will receive an automated call every day, at a time of your choice. The department will make three attempts during the day, if unanswered, they will call an alternate person of choice, who can verify your physical condition. Your alternate could be an adult child, a neighbor, or anyone designated as a reliable contact.. If you do not have an alternate or the alternate is unresponsive, the state will call local law enforcement to conduct a wellness check. Senior Call Check phone lines are open M-F 8 am-5 pm and Saturday 9 am-3 pm. During these hours, you can call toll-free(1-866-502-0560) and register. Registration is also available online at
